Asa

Asa was born with contracted front legs, and in an attempt to correct this with splints it had tragically gone wrong, resulting in excessively tight bandaging that cut off circulation. This caused his lower legs to die from lack of blood flow and detached. Left to walk in this painful state, he developed a bone infection. He received prompt veterinary attention, which involved debriding one leg to eliminate the dead, infected tissue, and surgically excising the necrotic bone in the other leg
Despite enduring such pain and neglect, Asa's spirit remained unbroken. He transformed into the most loving lap goat, braving many months of recovery and daily bandage changes. Now completely healed, Asa brings joy and laughter to everyone at the Sanctuary with his playful antics, earning him the title of our 'class clown'.

Asa's birthday is March 22, 2021
